Review: CollectiveFaith Christian Social Website

by Lester Young

Today I’m going to do something a little bit different. It’s no secret that we humans are social creatures: the explosive proliferation and success of internet gathering sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest certainly leave no room for doubt about that. These places are designed to make it easy to connect and interact with other people – especially others with whom we might share common attitudes or interests. With that said, I’d like to introduce you to a great new website I found – well, actually, I was invited to – called CollectiveFaith.

With a name like CollectiveFaith, I’m sure you can guess that this site was created with avid Christians in mind – which, as far as I’m concerned, is a good thing. It’s a place where you can meet, greet and socialize with old and new friends. Visit the Forum and ask a question about something you’ve long wondered about, or jump in and help someone else with an issue that’s troubling them. You can talk about the serious issues facing us in the world today or just share a laugh or two with folks of like precious faith – all in a clean, family-friendly, Word-of-God-oriented environment. (After all, who says Sunday mornings are the only time you’re supposed to talk about Jesus?!) This site affords you a great opportunity to socialize and network with other Christians from all over the world and every walk of life.

Additionally, the CollectiveFaith site offers an impressive list of resources, activities and “perks” to engage its members and make them feel at home. You can upload your favorite photos, videos and music (and even sell copies if the music’s yours; more on this later), write a blog, post classified ads, invite friends from other social sites and much more. Plus, the cost for membership is free.

But where CollectiveFaith really sets itself apart, in my opinion, is that it allows and even supports the commercial projects of its members. What I mean by that is if God has given you a product or service to sell, this site will actually help you do it. You can set up product pages, open an online store and even create paid-advertising campaigns to market your wares. Conduct auctions and run fund-raising programs for your favorite causes, too. (Of course, any commercial activities you’d like to engage in as a member must stay within the CollectiveFaith website’s moral and legal guidelines and be approved by the webmaster.) While there are certainly other quality Christian social websites around, to my knowledge CollectiveFaith is the only one that allows its members this freedom.

As a new member myself, I encourage you to visit CollectiveFaith today. Click on the ‘Menu’ link and have a look around at all the resources that are available. Then grab a membership and start connecting with brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus Christ you didn’t even know you had. And don’t forget to invite your friends once you get there. I believe it’s going to be a great place to be social – and you might even come across some very unique and interesting products from some very creative Christian entrepreneurs in the process.
